If I had the time I would thank everyone individually. Thank you all for the wonderful comments on my "simple pleasures" entry. I really wasn't expecting it to do so well. Although my image really does go straight to my heart and warms it every time I see it. She is growing so quickly, and everyone should think about the simple pleasures in life, because time flys by in the blink of an eye. My sincerest thank you's to all the great people out in DPC. This place is the best site on the internet for photographers hoping to hone their craft. I have learned so much!

It's an outstanding image - one that tugs the heartstrings even if you don't know the young lady. And she is indeed a beautiful girl.

Having just left my youngest child at college two states away, I have to tell you your picture went to straight to my heart as well. It seems like just yesterday he was Gracie's age, and he and his brother and sisters were busy little folks and I was running and running to keep up with them. Now my house seems so empty and quiet and my arms just ache to hug those little guys they once were again. I'm really proud of the adults they have become, but I miss the little children they once were.

Give Gracie an extra hug from me and thank you for sharing that moment with her.
