I've recently bought a Nikon D50. As I went to put in my last entry into DPC I couldn't find the ISO on the "properties" summary. Am I going loopy or blind? Does anyone know if it is in there somewhere?

No, you're not going crazy, it's hard to find in a Nikon jpeg for some reason.

I know that Neat Image can find it...and I believe Nikon Capture can find it. I haven't been able to find it in photoshop CS I don't think, except in a RAW.

I never saw it as a problem though because I know what all the shots are as far as ISO goes anyway. You're setting the ISO pretty much no matter what, and for the most part it's not changing once you're out at a certain location, so you should really know what it was.

I guess I don't know how to think outside the square. It never ocurred to me that it would be possible to put the image back in. I tried it and Hey Presto there it was. Thankyou!

Do you use Picture Project ? All the EXIF info can be found with that program.

ISO info is also visible in iView Media (not free) and in Nikon View (shipped with my D70). It is indeed a bit inconvenient that Nikon didn't put the ISO-info at the correct place in the EXIF-data, but at least it's there.

It's not just inconvenient it's moronic. I mean it's not difficult to adhere to standard conventions. It's not like they added any functionality to it.
