This is my very first challenge!
It's so exciting to watch the scores... how do you experienced people stand it? I'm constantly checking my scores and I can't get my homework done :) This goes on for a whole week... I don't know if I'll make it that long!

I was so upset I missed this one. Purple is my favorite color and all. However, I don't think my idea would have stood a chance against most of these. lol ;)

Not that I am new here either, but I am learning how it works too, and even much more about DP.
I've done quite some PP now and I must admit I've never did such a poor job ever as in this one... (which is an understatement). That's what happens when you're in a hurry.
Anyway, my current stats are:

I think I know why mine is tanking, other than the usual reasons - just looked at it on the laptop and it sucks. Obviously my monitor at home has much deeper colors/richer tones than this baby does, and I really need to edit for the laptop vice the home monitor to cover all bases. Live and learn! |

This is pathetic. My only comment so far is "Hmm?". What is that supposed to mean? C'mon, guys, give me some real comments that I can learn from! Both this challenge and my last one were the same way -- no real comments to help me learn.
Oh, and Elwood, I agree with you. I thought about finding a flower, but decided to be way different. I guess I'm paying for thinking creatively. :-\ |

A few hours ago I had a score above 7.2 ~70 votes. I was so excited, what a great feeling to be above the 7!! :)
But than it constantly dropped. The score never went up again! :(
Now:

Avg Vote: 6.7100

There must have been lots of 4s and 3s that dragged me down. Arrggh!
Ok, 6.71 is a great score, of course. But if your score has ever been above 7 you dream of colorful ribbons and get dissapointed, when it dropps down so much ;)
Perhaps it goes up again - who knows? :)

Don't worry( i know thats impossible), but It can definately go back up! when i got my ribbon i had a 7.3 the first day that went down to a 6.8 and then back up to 7.1(whatever it was) by the end of voting. |

Boy am I having trouble voting this challenge.
My color blindness doesn't help but I'm trying to give folks the benefit of my doubt. Also I see quite a few photos where the purple cast seems to have been washed over the photo in post. Probably meets the letter of the challenge but not the spirit IMO.
Maybe I'm just grumpy and shouldn't be voting. Have to go back with fresh eyes tomorrow. |

| I've been lenient on the purple. Anything close to purple in any semi major element I'm letting slide. Getting a little tired of all the flowers, but some of them are well done and getting good votes. I'm at 104 votes, 5.67 score, 7 nice comments. The comments are making my day, score is about what I expected. |

There are many sunsets in this challenge. In "real life" outside, I do see purple cast clouds during sunsets on many occasions. So those are probably legitimate.
