Don't know if you all saw this thread, but Yanko made a template for WPL trading cards. Very cool (at least I think it is, but maybe I'm a dork). I've downloaded the template, so if you all want to upload/chose a pic from your portfolio and let me know which one, I'll make up cards for us. Or, if you like, you can get the download link from that forum page and make one yourself.

Can you tell that I have too much free time on my hands?

awman, that sounds awesome! my current profile pic is fine to use, but if it's too small i can see if i can dig up a bigger version.

Here's mine, just finished it. Not too hard, overall.

The pic you want to use needs to be 4.167" wide x 5.5" high at 72dpi, cropped so that there is some room around it. Or if you just want to post a fullsize shot, I can crop to size.

Anyone that wants me to make them one, post and I'll do them tomorrow. Oh, and be sure to post what color cast you want you image to be. It's done via Hue&Sat, so the Hue can be altered to anything. You can either give a general color, or a definitive color number.

Windows, Photoshop 7.0.

Sometimes I get a random program error and Photoshop will crash...dunno what causes it or how to fix it. You can send me the .psd file and I can try to save it as a jpeg for you - email to helenz@andrew.cmu.edu

I officially proclaim myself the 'dead' member. never to heard or seen by anyone..still trying to figure out why my comp refuses to upload the trading card template.. hmm..

The WPL3 is scheduled to start with the members challenge announced midnight, Sunday, October 29th.

oh man, long exposure...i wish i had the time to get out and take the shot i really want for this, but i'm pretty swamped this week. hopefully i can come up with a good subsitute.

I got one I really liked at the Ithaca GTG...of course that was like 14 hours before the challange was announced. I think they do that to us on purpose ;-)

sorry, guys, i haven't gotten a single shot yet and it doesn't look like i will in the next hour and a half. crazy week.

i already have something ready for black and white, though.

I intend to get a B&W shot for this next one too.

So if I entered Long Exposure and RockBruise entered Reflections, then I hope two others entered for this week, or we'll be off to a bad start!

My long exposure is doing somewhere between m'eh and pretty good. Too bad self-portrait doesn't count!

I've got my neon in... had to do it for the team. I pulled my long exposure in the last 5 minutes... and I'm glad I did.
I'll let you know in about 20 minutes how good/bad this one is.

I feel your pain mate! It seems like the shots I enter and am attached to almost always do lousy. But entering things I don't like doesn't work either, so I think we're just stuck :-)

In the spirit of competition and sportsmanship, I just wanted to shout out a "HEY" and "GOOD LUCK" to our first opponents in WPL3. Win or lose, I think it will be a great experience.... we share your pain; It's really tough when you HAVE to come up with a challenge entry.

Sorry, for the pointless sabbatical this week.. I desperately wanted to join in but I went sick. and all I wanted to do was sleep.
