YIPPEE ~ I've had such a slump - I'm thrilled. Plus I got a fav with two votes!I even pulled it and put it back. Glad I did. This is an outstanding bunch of entries overall . They are varied and really good. Enzo, Crystal and Cindi - WOO HOO for you guys. That is excellent!

Maybe. I'm glad were done though. I probably would have skipped this challenge if we were still doing sp's. i never seemed to have time for both.

I see some very interesting work in this one. Good stuff for the most part.
One thing I've noticed is quite a bit of overuse of Neat Image ot Noise Ninja on several images.
I'm holding steady in the 6.2 range. Hoping to bump up and dance with idnic!

with only 3 comments (which were giving at 5.8)

Just finished voting on all of these. I have picked out 7 new favourites, which is pleasing. On the down side I think there were a few good photos that didn't meet any element of the challenge.
Hope everyone gets the score they are after. |

I couldn't think of anything as funny as doodoo head. That had me laughing for like 10 minutes. It's funny because it's true.:)

I've only been a member for about two weeks and my scores have consistently stunk up the joint, but I'm having fun and trying to learn. One of the "lessons" is to not take the voting too seriously as some people have very different opinions from mine.
Morning started out great as after three consecutive images in the 4.2-4.7 range, I had a 5.6 :) Well, that was short lived as more people started voting and my image is going down like the hindenburg. It was at 5.4 at noon and is now at 5.2. What's irritating is that at 5.6 at 8 am this morning it had 4 comments. Any guesses as it plummets how many comments have been made???? (not a single one). Thanks. It's like attending a drive by.
Good news is I got exactly the reaction I was looking for with the four posts so my work was done. I don't expect it to be a 6, but I was aiming for a 5.5 (fat chance of that now).

One thing that I have noticed is not to pay too much attention to the score for the first day, as that's the period of time where it seems to change the most. After a day or so they seem to settle down more towards the range that the end result will be. |

It's been consistant since voting started, which is VERY weird for me. Up or down a fraction of a fraction of a point, but staying right about there. Maybe I'll be lucky and finish there too. Whoever picked mine as a fav. THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
I did get one funny comment saying they didn't see how the title had anything to do with the essence of the portrait. Boy - wait til I tell them when the challenge is over. ROFL

Mine got the initial 4 funny feedbacks as its a funny entry, but some are probably like "what about the 'essence' of the person". If they really knew me, they'd know that the picture is not far off .
WHOO HOOO, FINALLY climbing back out of the ditch. Back up to 5.4.
