I posted my worst image right out of the hole when I signed up to DPC, and got it over with. I still may top that later.
I want to reserve this comment:
I always wondered what my images would look like if I accidently dropped my camera in the toilet and it survived.
Thank you so much for posting this image so I no longer have to wonder.

Comment that should be left with every photo that uses a wooden posing doll.
"Subject is lame posing doll (should all be put on large pile and set on fire)"
There was a photo submitted in the Spectacles challenge that I commented on but the shot is now gone (self DQ???) Anyway, it was a picture of a guy who shaved eyebrows into his pubic area and rested glasses on top of his nether regions. The comment I left was
"You nose is way too small"

Please, not another flower macro!
Like the naked chick, but we all know what naked chicks look like, so it won't help your score.

I generally expect horizons to be horizontal.
If you really believe "art" means free expression with no regard for technique or convention, perhaps you could think of photography as a "craft".
Nice HDR. The sky looks like the scene from Raiders of the Lost Ark where they open the ark.
edited for typo.

Here's one I've actually been tempted to use:
"Multiple exclamation points in a caption do not improve a photo."
Or perhaps "I remove 1/2 point for each additional exclamation point!!!!!"

This cracked me up. Thanks for the laughs. From a newbie's point of view:
Thanks! I just got my confidence boosted.
Do a nude. Get it viewed.
You worry me.
How many times do I have to see that overlay?

But exclamation points add drama to the photo. :)
Actually, what is more annoying (to me anyway) is the explanation in the title e.g.
"Olympic Sprinter (long exposure, handheld)"
"Night Sky Visitors (those UFOs are real, not photoshopped!!!!!!)" <<--notice the added drama? |

"Do you really keep bowls of wet fruit in your house?"
"You must live somewhere very damp - the flowers where I live aren't always covered in water droplets."
These comments both refer to the phenomenon of fruit and flowers which are photographed for DPC ALWAYS being covered with water.
Here is a comment I could make about MY OWN portfolio:
"Are you a one trick pony, or what?"
8 ribbons and 6 are pictures of the Sand Dunes - go figure.

"Just because your title meets the challenge doesn't mean your photo does."
- or alternatively -
"A word from the challenge theme, plus a nekkid girl does not qualify as meeting the challenge."
"Just because you can, doesn't mean you should."
"So I see you're not really into subtle."
"You know that old saying, all babies are beautiful? Guess not."
"This would have worked so much better if you just hadn't pressed the shutter."
"You know what would really have made this work? A different photographer."
"Never seen that before... wait, no the shot is totally cliche... I meant to say I've never seen that done so badly before."

It's LIGHTS before "Camera" and "Action" for a reason.
You do realize the background IS part of the shot, right?
You should see a doctor about your early onset Parkinson's.

(My apologies to all those who took balloon popping pics in the challenge.)

Please keep in mind that the lens of the camera is supposed to point towards the SUBJECT when you take the picture. |

Interesting how you could obey all the rules of photography and still get a photo this unique and unpleasant to look at.
