What is the science to choosing a border or matt for a picture? Or is it completly based on color highlighting choices or something else completly...
Thanks for any tips/hits/ideas!

Started this threadawhile back. Seems like distracting frames or border may receive lower scores

I typically do a 2 colour border, an inner thin line about 1 pixel wide, and then a wider border about 18 pixels wide.
I typically pick a highlight colour from the image for the thin line and the predominant background colour for the wider border. |

I usually do the same, sometimes with a black outer border, but at DPC sizes I usually use 2 pixels for the inner and 5-10 for the outer.
I normally put larger frames on for prints, but for voting people seem to like thinner ones.
Try to make sure the highlight color doesn't exactly match a section on the edge, or the inner line will "disapper" for part of the image. Unless you want it to do that for artistic effect ...
