The time has come for me to consider my university options (I'm a high school student at the moment), and I have decided to do a double major at the University of Victoria. Along with a theatre major, I have decided to take a visual arts major with a specialization in photography. To get accepted into the program I need to submit 10 pieces in slide format, which leads to my question...

Can you get digital images made into slides?

Thanks All!
Lee

P.S. Any advice or guidelines from you folks on things to include or not include in my 10 pieces, please let me know!

there is a machine that my school uses that takes any digital image and exposes it to a film cartrige.. so it brings it back to a 35 mm form. from there it it can be transformed into slide.. or better yet massive, undistorded enlargements.

A quick google search gave me //www.digitalphotoplus.com/ which charges 99 cents per slide.

Speak to the folks at Vistek or better yet, The Camera Store. Both are high-end photographic retailers located in Calgary. You will get your answer for a local service bureau there.

I suspect that UVic will accept another format such as 8 x 10s too. Is this correct? It will likely be much easier to get prints instead of slides. As well, the cost should be lower. And the viewing of the images simpler too.
