first of all, i would like to say that this site has been inspiring to me as an amateur photographer. looking at different photographers' profiles and seeing how they progressively grow into their own is amazing.
but, i do have a few computer issues. i can't afford photoshop, but i have found that my dad has a copy of corel photopaint 8 on this computer. problem is, everytime i try to run it, i get a Microsoft Visual C++ Library: Runtime Error! "abnormal program termination" message.
Anybody computer savvy enough to help me out? |

Can you reinstall the program?
//www.gimp.org/ Gimp is free. I have never used it but lots of people do.

| i'm not sure if he has the installation disks or not. funny that i hadn't thought of that. |

Have you looked into PhotoShop Elements or Corel's Paint Shop Pro? I got the later (PSP 10) for $27 (including shipping) off of Amazon. Sealed software and all, it was open box. Amazon/Ebay both have some real deals to be had.
