If you want to make it a challenge lets do
1 Ribbon Winners
2 Non-Ribbon Winners
Then we can compare :)

There are currently about 450 ribbons that have been awarded - so that's still a fairly significant number of people.

As to the amount of resources - its just a challenge - we do them all the time.

Rock on. There's no reason why it couldn't be a "special" challenge, and anyone who enters w/o having a ribbon could just be DQ'd. I don't think this would take any special resources to do....

Let's go!

yeah, I like THAT idea! lol. Seriously though, I think the ribbon winner challenge is a good idea by itself too even though I'll never be able to participate in one.

along the same lines, i was thinking the other day, it would be cool to have photographers or photographer of the month. this person would be the one with the most ribbons won during that month. there could be a link on the front page saying "this month's top photographer", or something like that. i guess it could also be expanded to photogrpaher of the year as well, under the same premise.
