bucket
Bucket continually catches my eye and has grown as a photographer in leaps and bounds that few can match. His style is not that of mass appeal or technical DPC greatness... but is subtle and hauntingly brilliant, reminiscent of photographers such as Sally Mann. A browse through his portfolio is never disappointing.
*Edit* I'd post an image or two, but I'm on the Wii, and its browser doesn't show links or properties of any kind, so I have no image numbers.

I'm always interested to see what Coley has come up with. This vintage Coley shot is damned near perfect:

I would have to post about 1000 thumbs if I were to show what has all caught my eye lately.
DPC has so many great sets of eyes. So many different views of something that may only be seen one way otherwise. I enjoy looking at the ideas just as much as the results although at times I really have to look hard to find that idea with in the results and sometimes I miss it completely. But overall I usually get the photo regardless of the tech specs.
I am starting to see it like this. There is no such thing as a Bad Photo, But you can have a bad subject, bad angle, bad lighting, bad comp etc. However that does not automatically turn a good idea into a bad photo just means it was not executed or processed to my personal taste.
So for that reason many photos lately have grabbed my attention, Not only here at DPC but everywhere.

That is a wonderful attitude to have, thanks. You may enjoy the photography of Keith Carter, whose intentional "mistakes" are breathtaking. |
