You can tell me what my strengths are... oh wait, I know. my comments. sigh.

We might be neighbors again in motion panning, although you have a favorite and I don't.

As for your strengths, Don, you're joking, right? You're the guy who finds value in something others would discard.

Oh yeah, like you got no people skills and you got no ability to organize and keep things moving in a forward direction, you certainly can't magically galvanize a group of otherwise unrelated people into a giant family.

Yeah....you suck!

Umm.....lowest score in challenge on profile page: 6.2185

Hell of a sense of humor, albeit with a little bit of a sardonic twist.

Oh.....LANDSCAPES/Perspective is a strong suit from what I see.

Just my $0.02 US

kdsprog, I think you have a couple of strengths - one is critters, the other is "the everyday". You do good critters. As for "the everyday", I like how you see everyday things. Always just a little on the different side. When I get home from work (yes, I shouldn't be doing this now), I'll find a couple of shots to illustrate what I mean. :-)

...taps foot... just kidding! Deb what is your time difference over there? Are you ahead or behind us?

My bad! I got home and got playing with trying to hook up a wireless router (didn't work) then playing with Photoshop and completely forgot. I'll get back to it - promise!

Congrats to JuliBoc for a Top Ten finish in Match!! Someone mentioned wildlife was one of your strong points??

And to chaimelle for a great finish - your strength of lines/patterns (and color) in this one really shines through.

Congrats, indeed!

Meanwhile, I seem to have struck a chord at last with someone. This might be the fastest I've ever gotten a favorite. :)

Congratulations, you matchers! I'm pleased to say that you were both in my top picks!

I just poked through the motion panning results. Wow - team suck did a great job! I especially liked the ones from folks who had the guts to go with subjects that move within the frame so they blur out (unlike, ahem, me).

I also poked through a bunch of team suck match entries. Equally good, varied, and creative.

Wow. I'm quite disappointed with my match entry. Having scores off all week I was expecting something mid-fives, and came out with 4.7.

Unfortunately only after voting had started did I realise that my arrangement of the glasses had the peculiar effect of making them look like they were wonky, with one glass being shorter than the other.

Hoping for better things out of minimalism and fill the frame.

i understand. my average this last few weeks has been in the mid fours ever since i got my first six.

you go through times like that but keep your head up.

you do great work and you'll be back up there.

Well, I think I was spoiled there for a while with my high scores. Not to worry everybody, I have successfully started another downward spiral into suckage. Every entry keeps getting worse! I'm afraid to think about my Fill the Frame, ugh :(

This one is not going to be as good though. poor start and likely to get worse due to my obscure shot.
ahwell 1 out of 2 aint bad ;-)

Dang, skewsme, at the rate you're going, I'm not sure even your ties to the Great One will keep you on Team Suck....

Just kidding of course. We all know it's an attitude, not a score, but you are indeed getting quite dangerously good at scoring well.
01/24/2007 02:52:47 AM · #1818
Thank you :) but I am nothing if not inconsistent! Pennies from heaven.

I am so pleased and honored to be officially recognized for my OOBIE!!!!

To think.....all these years and I'm finally rewarded for that whole "Weirdest Kid in the Room" thing!

Thanks, guys!

EDIT: Just demonstrating my inability to deal with avatars.....I tried to put my sucker in but messed it up. Oh well, I put it in my profile!

PROUD inept member of Team Suck!

BTW.....Catherine, Congrats, I hope you feel that it's a good thing to be put on the hotseat next to me.....8>)

That brings up an interesting question for me.

CAN someone be thrown out for lack of suckage, or as long as you behave, can you stay?

And can you suck too badly?

My apologies for not being around much, the kids start back at school next week so I've been busy but I should have some more time soon. I've managed to get into Minimalism and Entrance though.

Are we allowed to use hand colouring in advanced editing, I know we can selectively desat but I'd prefer to desat and hand colour. Does anyone know? And yeah I know the voters will hate it but you can't please everyone so you got to please yourself. :)

I wouldn't think so, but that's just a guess. But if you can't maybe "selective color" would help you achive similar results.
