Is there an easy way (no programming skills) to create from a folder of photos a web-gallery without manually creating it in html?

Even better would be if i don't have to constantly add the new folder to the general overview on my website but that it does it automatically.

And if i can continue to dream, a way that the result is to my specifics, website wise (black background, silver letters,..)

Anything?

From //www.slooz.com/ an example: //www.troop233.org/test/expose/

Then Simple Viewer with an example: //www.troop233.org/test/album/

Both are easy to use....

there are many free galleries, both html and flash-based in the internet. you can try searching for "free photo gallery" in google and see how many results you get.
for example:
PHP album
flash gallery
good free flash

the one that I use:
my flash

I personally think a flash gallery looks better.

you can customise (to a certain level) all the galleried above: choose colors, backgrounds etc, etc. using their menues.

I never use their menues though. I think the best way to customise is to edit html and flash files in Macromedia Flash or Shockweaver - I have more control this way.

well, anyway, I am not very satisfied with the gallery I use:( there are some parameters in my flash movie which I can't edit and I don't like it. so if you really want it 100% your own way you have to learn some flash or html.

oh, one more thing. if you get it free do not expect much from it. usually free galleries are either not customisable or for maximum 2-3 albums/50 photos or any other limitations. unfortunately you have to pay something to get a good customisable gallery if you don't want to create it yourself.

hope this helps! and good luck!!

Slooz is free if you don't mind editing the config file yourself. Or you can buy the editor $9... which I recommend.

I like flash. Gives a site a more dynamic feel to it.

I like MiniGal (www.minigal.dk) because it's costumizable, has an admin interface and allows comments. Plus it's lightweight. Unfortunately I had trouble setting it up on one server, it worked well on others.

Slideshowpro director is a nice program that creates an sql database for you. Takes some work to get set up but then it has a director that non-html language interface that is very easy to use.

here's my use of it //www.ElliottJamesPhotography.com
