My other hobby is metal detecting, and I'm a member at a metal detecting forum. Over there, some guy that dabbles in photography and is a mod on the forum started a "Digital Photography" section on the metal detecting forum, with photo challenges every week that give away prizes. The first one was called "Pets", and I won it with this photo:
Rudy's Bath
So as the winner of the first challenge, it was my responsibility to pick the 2nd challenge, choose the winners of it, and put up a prize if I wanted to. I haven't decided on the prizes yet, but I chose "Color Portrait" for the challenge. The challenge is over now, and I've narrowed it down to my top 3 picks. I'd like to know your opinions on who you like best.
Pick 1
Pick 2
Pick 3

I Like number 2 the best. I really love the lighting on the face. Just my 2 cents for ya. ;) Good luck! And congrats on your winning photo..it is really cute! |

That's a tough one. I'd pick #2 (the tilted horizon in #3 puts me off) |

Those are some pretty good shots. They're all snap shots. I like the 3rd one just because I want to be there right now, but I'm not liking the center composition at all.
I also like #2, but that garage door is a little distracting. It does use the rule of thirds at least.
With #1, it's a good picture too, but nothing beats cute kids. Plus, it's leaning to the left.
I'd vote for #2 for the cuteness factor.
Good luck

I concur, #2.
#1 looks like they went on a trip and just took a picture. And her tongue is sticking out a little bit, haha.
#3 is tilted and washed out. to me the picture kind of says "I took a picture at a really beautiful spot and even though I didn't put much time or effort into it it's at a really beautiful spot so let me win!" |

Thanks for all the replies. Seems like the vote is a landslide for #2. |

Without a doubt number 2 - Great composition and the door is a little distracting but it has a great natural feel to it and I love the flowers. |

yup two. For the reasons mentioned before.. 3 is leaning and one is just not as interesting in light and content. |
