Aww heck, dont give up...have faith in your image..besides, between you and me, the voters have been brutal overnight..I have received no less then 8 threes...and despite the nag screen, no comments.

Here's a sure-fire way to perk up your spirits: show your photos to people NOT on DPC. You know, normal people who don't spend hours on end trying to decide whether your shot should've been 5% darker or had 2.4% less noise or been cropped 1/28 of an inch more on the right. I'm not saying those judgements are inappropriate on DPC - they're perfectly fine, esp. since we have to decide how to vote.
But keep in mind that "average" on DPC usually means you're a good photographer to the rest of the world. :)

Hmmm... I am getting DNMC votes, and that is weird since my entry is completely filling the frame... I don`t get the voters... And I did something with a lot of editing also... I am not doing the way I wanted, not that bad but just not what I expected, anyway I LOVE this picture, maybe is just not DPC friendly...
--edit to add... I can see why the DNMC votes on my picture.. if the monitos is callibrated diferent than mine (that, is probable) you can`t see a part of the subject... hmmm :(

On a personal note !!!!!!!!! To anyone who's feeling bummed about your score and feels like giving up, YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE... Stop right there and let me tell you something. If your image inspires even one single person, and that includes yourself, then it's a SUCCESS !!! It's the images on this site, and that includes the ones that didn't score high, that have inspired me to make photo's everyday.. As Joe Dirt says, "you gotta keep on, keeping on", "life's a garden, dig it" and my personal favorite, "you can't have no in your heart".. :-)Now, stap on your camera & prepare for the next challenge !!! |

Right. Regardless of score, if I've gotten comments that tell me I've connected with someone, then I'm happy. My procrastination shot, which was intentionally funny, got a whopping 5.2 and beat a full 38% of the other entries. But I got many comments during the challenge and after from people I made laugh. :)

Im not upset though. Im very proud of my photo because I know that I have improved A LOT. But my score is very slowly climbing..so ya never know!

| 5.1 :( looking at it now im quite dissapointed that i let myself submit it, i really dont like it now lol. It was kind of a last minute thing and im thinking i should have sat this one out lol. If anything i hope it scores low enough not to show up on my top 4 :S |
