From the expert rule set:
"Please remember, however, that this is a photography contest. You are encouraged to keep your entries photographic in nature, and voters are encouraged to rate entries accordingly."

I don't agree with the commenter, but I do agree with you about reporting the comment. Seems to me like a waste of SC's time. It's nice to have the feature for truly offensive post/comment, but not for this comment.

You can use the help button to contact SC and request a self DQ, but.... if you do and you have a 2nd DQ in the next 25 challenges, you could be suspended. I would leave it in and bite the bullet - we all have embarassing clunkers in our portfolios. Trust me, one day you will be able to look back and laugh at your entry in a "most embarassing" thread. :)

Ouch. I think my shot is pretty well executed. It fills the frame entirely and isn't that bad. A 5.x would be more than fair. A 4.x is just retarded. Thats right I said it...Re-tar-ded. |

Embarrassing score but deserved I think. Submitted even though my inner voice was screaming at me to pull it. It's bad and I know it, so I'll have to live with the result. Oddly though, the one comment so far is saying "really good" but that it's dnmc. I personally don't believe that's the issue since I've completely filled the frame with a particular subject matter, so there ya go... who the heck knows anymore :D |

Every once in a while, there comes a challenge that really polarizes the membership. Strong feelings regarding what's acceptable, DNMC, all that stuff. Lots of hard feelings.
This is definitely one of them.
I could've sworn this was supposed to be fun.
Let's hope we have a fun one next week. |
