I gotta give a nod to Whiterook's Quiet_Observation photo. There is something exceedingly artistic about it despite the tilted horizon, etc. In fact, I quite like it, even without the homage to Mary. |

I gave Whiterook's entry a 6 - I thought it very apt for the username he chose, and quite liked the picture for it's merits even aside from that. I also very much liked iamwoman's shot, too. |

bdenny for an oobie
For a complex portrayal of a literary reference that most of his audience failed to understand. |

bump and passing comment on a) Whiterook's picture, which has great Cartier-Bresson vision (and the trash can helps) and b) Dorian Gray - I found the desat chalenge to be pretty full of weakish pictures that fulfilled the technical but little else. The winners were right enough, but this one moves it all up a level. |

I'd like to nominate TCGuru for a Yappie. She was one of the first to give me a slew of positive and helpful comments when I was a new member. That sort of thing is always a good way to make newcomers feel welcome! |

I want to nominate e301 for a Lifetime Yappie. Just click on his "Comments Made" and you'll see why. Even when I don't agree with his conclusions, he shows great insight into a photograph, how it was shot and processed, what the possibilities are for it. In this sense, he goes well beyond anything I can do with a comment, because he knows so much more about photography than I do. The man is long overdue for this award. |

I spent a few moments reading e301's comments made, and I'll have to second the nomination. :) |

An OOBIE nomination for Hywind, for his elements entry, "Earth Fire & Water":
Some TSers commented on this post-challenge, but as I hadn't voted, I hadn't seen it until tonight, when I was looking for inspiration - I'm inspired to try something different. To me that's what it's all about.
Best,
Rob
P.S. He does have an OOBIE already though; does that matter? The first post only says to wait 90 days to nominate someone again for a Yappie . . . |

oobies are per photo so go ahead.
I suppose we could reach a point where we would get sick of giving the same person oobies over and over again. In that case, we'd present the poor sap a Lifetime Oobie and be done with it. |

As a non tem suck member I dont know if I am aloud to comment but if I am then I would second the nomination for iamwoman. This was a wonderful image that was desperately 'not got' by a lot of voters |
