I've had similar problems with my ISP filtering anything from DPC as spam. I got them to talk and it works again.

I read the PMs infrequently. The process of OOBIEs and YAPPIEs is a work in progress. It's not a smooth operation right now but over time perhaps it will be if more suck team members participate.
Oh, and if anyone wants to explain why xion's entry
is an out-of-the-box entry, fill free to explain here. |

Given the poll on the front page, it looks like the WPL is going to become a fairly central part of dpc. Will team suck become WPL teams?
(I offer no opinion at present)

Team Suck is a seperate entity, and long may it remain so! Those who wish to rule the world can go join WPL, I am quite happy here in Suckville! |

I can't believe I am in the street challenge AND I like my entry:) I really love it.
and I'll be in trees.
does anyone also work in "periods"? sometimes I take hundreds of photos and love them all, sometimes I hate everything I make and don't post anything - it happens more often. |

silverfoxx, I am the same. I am mad for something and go for it flat out, then I have a blank time, the mind stops, the juices don't flow anymore, 'til the next time and off I go again.
Perhaps this is why I get through so many cameras? They feel so sexy and I take some great shots, then they feel clumsy and I sell them. Then regret it soon after, but a new one comes along and it is the dogs dangly bits.
This is why I have gone back to a relative entry level DSLR, I can play around, experiment and get loads of old lenses cheap. Manual is fun! |

I hope your rackets don't cost as much as these cameras I buy!! But, what you said is the truth, perhaps the newest one will be better? No longer, I am going to stick with this Pentax and get some good scores. Then, maybe, I will get the K10D or the newer model? Damn, there I go again! :)) |

My Sensor Cleaning escapades.
I followed the steps of photographing the sky at a small aperature to see how bad it was and it almost floored me.
I bought a device to clean my sensor with but it didn't work out too well. It was called a "Spec Grabber" and I guess the concept is fine but you have to attack each and every speck seperately. 90% of them you can't even see. So, I determined that there had to be a better way.
I did some research and found a camera shop in a neighboring town (Midland) that provides a sensor cleaning service for $35.00. Apparently they have the equipment to clean the sensor and vacuum the chamber.
Needless to say, that sounded like a pretty good deal to me. Have someone that knows what their doing clean it for me at a reasonable price.
The guy that does it is there on Mondays and Wednesdays so I'll be without the camera for a few days. Going back to "Rocket Science 101" from my college days, I decided that was a lot better than 8-10 weeks. Believe me, that class has come in very helpful in everyday life.
I would like to thank skewsme, Melethia, and noraneko for their input on this and I will let you know how it all shakes down.

Oh Mighty Leader! You speak words of wisdom. Forgive one as humble as I to approach you. Please allow the Suckers to remain apart from WPL. We are needy and poor, but this is all we have.
But, once the WPL is open to all, we Suckers will become the elite! Everyone will want to join us. MMMuuuuaaawwhhahhaaa! They will be not able to do so, cos we will dominate the WORLD!!

I just finished editing and entered my street photo. I like it better than anything I've submitted in a long time (which probably means a low score). Played around with lighting effects a little bit. I feel like I'm finally getting a lot better with PS, though I still have a long way to go.
Edit to add: silverfoxx what's up with getting presents from the ambassador? You're a beautiful young woman, hope he (I assume it's a guy, maybe I'm wrong) doesn't want anything besides a tennis match from you!

Formerlee, I like your choice of going back to the basics.
For "Where You Live," I've been carrying around my A620 because it's lighter and smaller than the S2 IS. And I've been having fun with it.
I've set myself a goal of getting one of the highest-scoring shots with the A620. :) So unless I need some feature on the S2 IS, I'm going to keep using it.
