BTW ... did I mention that my "LOVE" entry is SO OOB that you will need a good set of binoculars to see both my image and the box from the same location? ... It is all Posthumous's's fault.
He gonna gimme a 10! on this one for SURE. I just KNOW!

Mine doesn't fit either of those two categories. I got a comment a little while ago that explained the problem. I have done a little more processing, and will post the new version when the challenge is over. |

It is ok ... you will just have to skim through the thumbnails to find it ... but then, of course, vote on least 20% of the others.

HUGZ ... it happens ... but I hope you realize the difference between what might be VERY good and what DPC voters think is very good.

Thanks for the hug! I'm not upset, it really isn't "street". I expected the score.
Edit to add: You are one of my nice comments on this challenge too!

BTW, got my photo in for Trees. I'm looking at the blue for sure on this one. The blue with an odd sepia tint, that is... |

LOL. So you're competing with Whiterock this time? I came close in F&V, but no cigar. ;} |

I have two shots in. I have the brown ribbon winner in "Hate"
I have a shot in for Trees. It'll be the one with snow in it HaHa.
And, I also have an idea for Acronym however I probably won't be using skewsme's idea.
I'll probably have to wait till Thursday to get my camera back since it's in for sensor cleaning. It's in Midland which is 40 minutes away and they close at 5:30pm and I get out of work at 5:00. On Thursday's, their open till 8:00. |

Speaking of Whiterook, I saw a thread about Bear Music meeting up with him for coffee, where Bear posted a portrait. Then I saw a street photo featuring a guy who looks *oddly* just like Whiterook! Either Bear Music and Whiterook did a street shoot together, or Whiterook's got a twin out there...I had a good chuckle. In fact, there are a lot of really humorous photos in Street. I'm enjoying voting. Hope I get some comments in to some suckers. |

Juli, Catherine, Greetmir, and Bob, Thank you for your kind comments. Your comments are helping guide me in the right direction. My scores might not show how much I have improved since I̢۪ve been on Team Suck, but I notice the improvement.

Hey, for a wonderful, emotive example of motion panning that isn't yet another motor vehicle, check out what's in scalvert's portfolio:
Don, I know you generally hate kid pics, but still ...

Actually, I tend to vote kids higher. They are great, natural models. And yes, that's a stunning photograph.

yeah. i think the best idea is to come up with a concept. dumb it down about 100 i.q. points, and then take a technically good picture.
this is not being bitter... this is a sad truth.
as for street i'm cruising at a cool 4.54!
run and hide from the unstoppable street pic!
