A friend of mine asked if American cameras were different to UK digital SLR cameras. As in the format etc

I was 99% sure that they were the same

And to save face I said yes. But as I have never really thought about it I just wanted to know if I was right

Thanks guys

OK Maybe I did not make sense

Well lets put this in Laymans terms

The Television And DVD's

In UK we have Pal system
In US you have NTSC system

Mix them up and nothing will work (example - UK DVD in US DVD Player)

I was wanting to know if this way worked for cameras or not???????????????

Imagin the DVD to be a Memory card and the DVD player A Canon EOS 20D

All the cameras I have seen that put images out to a TV have a PAL or NTSC choice in the menu (you know NTSC stands for Never The Same Colour right).

Most of the power do-dads now have the full range and just need a different plug (read the voltage info on the back of the charger).

It's not worth doing different production runs for the core product like the body. If you want to have fun, just change the language on the menu since they are all available :-)

Some of the older Canon flashes have the distance hard coded to Feet or Meters. As far as I know the newer ones all have an option.
