I don't know how to create the thumbnails you have in ypur posts. I tried using the command and it didn't work for me. Any pointers/suggestions?

After clicking the buttom to insert thumbnail just insert the id number to the photo this can be found by right clicking on the photo...selecting properties, then where the url is take the five or six digit number and copy and paste that into the space provided. I'm not very good at giving directions...so I hope that helps.

Use this tried and true copy technique for images in your portfolio....

1-Find your UserID number. Select "Photographer Profiles" under the "Community" menu. Scroll to the bottom, enter your username for the search criteria and, when found, click on it. In the URL address display(you may have to turn on this function in your browser) you will find your UserID number:
Ex. //www.dpchallenge.com/profile.php?USER_ID=5792

This is mine. My userID number is 5792. Find yours and write it down for future reference.

2-Find the ImageID number of your desired image. I just selected a picture from my portfolio... In the URL display I see...
//www.dpchallenge.com/image.php?IMAGE_ID=45529

My image number is 45529. Use this technique to display yours.

3-Click "Quote" on a posted message (like this one) that has a thumbnail display like what you want. Remove the quote and other extranious text so that all that is left is the thumbnail display. (It looks like cryptic HTML computer code)

4-Change the userID number to your UserID and the imageID number to your imageID number in two places and you should be done. Click preview to make sure it displays correct. This will display a clickable thumbnail view of the desired image like the one at the top here.

5-You can copy this cryptic test into a text file and save for future reference or memorize it so you can simply type it yourself. Then all you have to do is change the imageID number to get what you want.

There is some tutorial that describes how to do this somewhere, but it is really no faster than using the copy technique displayed here.

Or, just click the button, and type in your "IMAGE_ID" number. Done.

Alternatively, just put your IMAGE_ID number betwen [ thumb ] and [ /thumb ] tags. Done.

Only members can add non-entry photos to their portfolios, but every challenge entry gets an image ID number as described before; it's maybe most easily accessible from your profile page. If you mouse-over the title of your image, the URL with the image ID at the end should show up somewhere in the browser window.
