what do you look for when rating pictures?
* colours
* lightning
* cropping of the picture
generally "photographic quality"
* the idea
* the concept for the theme
generally "theme related stuff"
* the quality of the subject (yet another sunset may be rated lower than an inventive setting? A seashore may be duller than a unique view in a unique setting ?
which ones are most important? Do you take them all into account? ... ?

This all is too rational for me.
I think - photography is also ART
That is why i look for emotion and feelings (they can be also negative), but if there is only technique, then it is handicraft and boring.
Certainly all those things, which you said, are important, but only to help intensify the most important thing - emotion |
