Yup, I'm switching sides.. going for PD, Myloupe and Alamy. I can no longer justify letting my images go for pennies. I will completely switch next month when my SS and istock accounts payout.
But, I need a favor from someone that has an account with fotolia... post a link to your portfolio. I'm going to spend about $45 in credits I have with them, instead of letting them have the money. I'd rather give it to a photog than let Fotolia have it.

I remember a while back reading that Photographers Direct will only deal with people who don't / have never done microstock. You might have to watch out for that. |

I know they only deal with people that don't do micro... I think they will accept the converted :-)
Either way, Alamy alone should be better than the ms game.

I've never figured out how to post a link to my Fotolia portfolio, but if you want any of my photos I use the same GeneralE handle over there ... |

Best of luck. From last Dec to Feb I made about $2000 from Alamy. Not bad. But absolutely nothing since then. Alamy updated their rating and not sure what happened, just not getting sales like I was. So much better at full price stock, one photo of a simple bedroom with pillows and flowers on wall above bed sold for over $800. That's an awful lot of .25 cent sales at the micro sites. |

I think this is how to see my portfolio...
If not, you can search under kdsatplay
I could use some sales, LOL!
Thanks Leroy!

My tiny account is in my sig. Not much exciting stuff in there at the moment. I need to get back at it.
Good luck to you on your move. After hearing about your pics making big campaigns, I was wondering why you were still doing micro. You have good stuff and you should do well with your next step.

I was holding out for payouts from fotolia and 123rf.... but could be months before that happens, so I've decided to loose a tiny bit of money and just dump them.
you can thank digitalknight and idnic for pushing me to just do it.
And thank you for the wishes :-)

I can figure the eyeball is the number of times viewed, and the down arrow the number of times downloaded, but what does the number in front of the "c" mean? |

In their FAQ, it says you can cash out at any time.. I don't see anything about a limit. I'm not making a lot there since I don't have much up, so if there is a limit, I might just move elsewhere (since I do have Paypal).

It means credits. How many credits you get per sale or something like that. |

Heck no, if you can cash out, you GO for it...
The offer was made on your belief that you couldn't cash out under $100. If you can, rescind it, for goodness sake, no hard feelings this end!!!
