I have this photo, that I like a bit, but it was taken in this blue color because we forgot that i'd last used the white balance for infrared shots. i have this edit of it here
i converted to b/w, colorized and cropped it. does anyone have any other ideas or solutions? thanks! |

Depends what you want doing with it really...
It looks washed out. Which isn't suprising as the whites overpower everything, even if you do manage to get the brightness right i'm not so sure there will be enough detail there to form a decent photo from it.
I'd recommend some levels adjustment, maybe some curves... but steer clear of making it even more contrasted.
SOrry I can't be mroe specific and there's plenty of people here more knowledgeable than me, but play around with levels and the shadow/highlight thing and you might discover something.

Was it shot in RAW? If so, in the RAW converter fix the WB.
Even if it wasn't, you may be able to use the Threshold layer to determine the white and black points. |

what do you think about this? i adjusted the levels, played with the color balance, and added a sepia photo filter. oh yeah, i also used the automatic settings for shadows/highlights.

Here's my take on it! Looks good in sepia/BW.
Layers from top to bottom
1. Hue/Sat Master 0,-86, 0
2. Color Balance - Preserve Lumin.
Shadows: +4,+20,-13
Midtone: +21,+12,-60
Highlig: -39, -2, -44
3. Levels
RGB: 0,0.83,255
Red: 0,1.00,133
Green: 0,1.00, 108
Blue: 17,1.00,255
4. Background Copy - Despeckle
On this one I used Nik Color Efex pro 2 - Infrared: Color filter with some minor adjustments.
