I am sure it is a great tool for getting work. It is just dorky thats all. We all make fools of ourselves on there.
I have 500 friends...named Jenifer that want me to watch them live...I have a couple friends that want me to have a bigger penis and another couple that just think I need to take viagra every couple of hours. What could be better.

lol fotomann!
Ahem, I don't think myspace users actually find what they are saying to be serious. People are just used to speaking in a different dialect on different sites. I know for a fact that I dont sound/read the same on myspace or youtube as I do here. It's the same in the real world. Are you going to speak in the same manner in front of your partner's parents as you would hanging out it a bar with friends? I certainly don't think so. Really, few people are a messed up as they seem on myspace (well, some are), so you can't really call EVERYONE who uses myspace to be a geek or loser.
However I must say I do love my surveys on a boring day! :D

I saw the title to this thread and my first thought was that they're not just limited to myspace. It's the internet they're everywhere. |

I have a myspace account, and I use it regularly to stay in touch with friends and family all over the world. ... |
I'm in a similar boat, my daughter set up my myspace (is that redundant?) so that the kids of my church youth group had a way to keep in touch with me...other than just email. It's great being able to see them and what they are up to. The youth minister also has a page that keeps us updated with goings on and other things.
BUT I have to agree with you...some of the people on there are total idiots and I am glad I get to choose who is my friend, I can't believe some of those people that request to be added to my list. |

I love myspace, It's a great way to get your work out there, mine isn't the norm and it really broadens the way for me. Not many people around here are interested in or understand what I do. But I have tons of fans of my work now Thanks to myspace. I also have my private profile aside from my business profile. But yeah it gets out of hand on there, but I dont get involved in that craziness.

In ten years it will be like 80's music, everybody will distance themselves by saying "I never was on myspace", "only losers and geeks were on myspace." I can't stop laughing thinking about the whole thing. It is very philosophical really. |
I had a look at a couple myspace pages once and couldn't believe how annoying they were. Terrible, distracting backgrounds, then their annoying f'n music started blaring through my speakers.
Never went back... |

Myspace Sucks and He's right for the reason it sucks is any weirdo child molesting stalker can create a blog and call it a website. And then search for other weirdos to chat with. Its kind of like chat rooms were to the internet in the 90's |

Alot of great stuff in the 80's, but sooo much garbage as well.
Musical decades in order of greatness:
1. 70's
2. 90's
3. 80's
4. 60's
5. 00's
6. 50's
