I was hoping to get some feedback on some of my portfolio photos. I know what my friends and family think (hopefully not all biased) but i was hoping for a little more of a professional objective to them. if interested,

HI Justin;
I checked your portfolio. It has very nice photos. Looking to it I can saw that you are a good Still Life, landscape photographer. Your skills are revealed very well in this categories. Your model photographs is not so well done as the others. The portraiture is your lack. I recomend to you to study some lighting techniques to improve portraiture photography. Some of that is a bit over or underexposed, almost all models are not correct exposed. Many of that had much shadows over it, that can be taked off with a fill-flash technique. In the other photos you had made a great job. specially on the still lifes.

Hey jjbates4,

checked out your impressive portfolio [took a loooong time to load, tho]. There were a few dark portraits but your easy style captures the subject quite well :-)
I like your portrait style, something like my own, relaxed and natural..the only thing I would suggest is that in your model shots the point of view is exactly the same [you're directly in front at eye level] try moving around and attempting new point of views [fitting for the current challenge, too ;-)]. Great work, though.

I will rewiew your portifolio. But I think that is interesting to create a new thread only to do it.
