Not a photographer, but a photo processer. Since you'd be in the same department, eventually it could lead to a photographer position (Yes Boeing has several full time photographers on staff). Starting pay would be 30-40K/year and include Boeing's great benefits.

I'll do my best to answer questions but it's not my department.

Edit: fixed link

Thanks for posting that. I wish I lived nearby. That would be a great job. People in the area looking for a photographic related job should really check this out. You don't find many opportunities with that low a requirement on education. Really. But..... in my area when you see one listed that way management generally has someone already picked out for the position. They go thru the listing process because they have to.

I'd be all over that if I didn't live all the way on the east coast.

How about hooking me up with an engineering job/internship instead? :)

Intern season is coming to an end, but maybe next year. (they do a great job with the intern program, pay very well and most are offered full time jobs when they graduate)

If you are graduating soon, just go to the job search page and type engineer in the search. We're hiring all types all over the US, several are entry level.

Right, I have an internship right now so I'd be looking for next year if anything. I'm not graduating till Feb 09 so it'll be some time. Fluids, aero, and composites are my concentrations so this is the field I'm looking at but I might end up sticking with the medical device industry which is where I'm at now. Anyway, sorry for the hijack but it's always nice to look around for these jobs. And I've always wanted to go to Seattle too. :)

Check back next year for the internship then. It's really a great opportunity. Let me know when you apply and i can put in a good word for you (they usually ask us if we know anyone because they get a ton of applications and it's hard to down select).

And... stay up on the composites! High demand right now and a big part of the future!

I don't think they are hiring as frantically as commercial.

Might be interesting for me except I'm kinda stuck in California. Besides, having this on my resume might DQ me ...

I'm sure it happens, but HR has become pretty strict forcing them to go through the whole process and give everyone a fair chance here.
