OK - here is my problem. I am doing my editing on a Macbook Pro that is connected to a NEC MultiSync LCD1765. I have the Huey Calibration tool running and do most of the editing on the monitor.
The problem is that whenever I move the shot over to the laptop LCD(using the external LCD as a primary monitor) the colors look much different than those on the external LCD. How can I calibrate them to look similar?
My concern is sending shots to people. Will the colors look like those on my calibrated monitor or on the laptop screen or something else? I don't want to send out shots that don't look anything like what I am wanting the shots to look like.

Great question!
I think the answer is pretty simple, if the person who is to receive your photo has their monitor calibrated exactly the same as your monitor then it will look the same.
Unfortunatly that would rarely be the case and your photo's will vary from slightly to way out depending on how far out the 2 monitors calibrations differ.
I believe Pro's calibrate their monitors (using special tools) weekly if not even more often.

With the Eye One Display 2 you can select the profile of the other monitor as a calibration target. Check to see if Huey has a similar option. |
