Years ago I ran across a great (sadly also pretty accurate) definition of the movie classifications (don't even start me on the censorship thing)
G = The goodie gets the girl
PG = The baddie gets the girl
R = Everybody gets the girl

:-)

You forgot X = Everybody gets the girl and she wants more.

or X = Every body gets the girl at one time and in every possible position.

Yeah, I thought about putting that in but.... Let see... I think it goes back to lighting... X everyone still gets the girl but you get to see more cause they don't crop or use shadows in the final cut :-)

Id say it could be fine art, as long as the photographer and the client or whoever wants it is mature enough to handel it. I wouldnt classafye** it as porn because porn would be more of a sex act being done, or a photo that is concentrating on sex rater beauty. id put it on my wall:P

Well... I guess I won't post my artistic Leaning Tower of Penis shot, then.

Please tell me you are joking...

The original shot would be interesting in b/w. It would lose the clinical feel it has in color and the shapes would stand out more and make me think of it more as 'art', whatever that is.

Regardless, it's also a perfect example of why there is a Clone tool. Art, Porn or Medical Documentary - I have no desire to be looking at ass hairs....

Yes, of course. It's only a subject.

And (thinking out loud while reading this thread) why shouldn't art be ugly. Aesthetics ain't the whole story.

I like the photo personally... (I'm female and not lesbian btw) I think its very artistic, its a subject, just like the folds of a rose.. i see no difference. I do find the hustler type photos not art, but this is clearly an artistic image.

Yes.

I've always thought 'fine art' best described as works done by masters of (any given) craft. The distinction has always been more about the technicals & mastery of very FINE (subtle) differences in quality, and the artists ability to command them.

COULD i create a 'fine art' work of my nether-regions? Sure, just give me a 200mm Macro lens @ 1:1 ratio, a gas-powered weedeater, and some corn syrup & stand back!!!

Now, if I wander around the mall trying to sell blurry 4x6's of this atrocity, I'd be called a pervert. Print that thing @ 48"x72", place it in a private gallery, and charge $17,000 for limited edition prints? Hmmmmmmmmm

"Glenda, do we have any bottles of Karo syrup????????"

I really do think that genitalia could be made into art. However, I think it may take a genius to make it look appealing without being sexually suggestive a.k.a. porn because I personally find it to be generally ugly. Now take into consideration that I like nude photography very much and I live in northern california where it is very liberal, but I just think dangling labia, a yellowish tint, and a zoomed in arsehole are very visually unattractive. Again, I think it can be made to be beautiful if done properly, but that first pic is @#$%.

I'm sorry, I just have to tell this story...

Having a discussion with a male friend and I asked him why men are always so eager to have a threesome with two women but rarely a woman and a man. I was really curious about the male viewpoint.
His answer?
"It can be summed up in one word; "scrotums". They're the ugliest things in the world. I don't have to see my own and I certainly don't want to see anyone else's!"

Hmm... very profound.... :)

edit cuz I found his exact words and the way he put it was funnier than the way I remembered it...

Seriously, ball sack looks like left-over elbow skin with a couple of marbles thrown in. Not an attractive thing. :-)

In other words, only certain parts of genitalia can become fine art?

Someone much wiser than I, PM'd me and told me that anything can be the subject of fine art.

If you can convince the aristocracy that ball sack photos are en vogue, I will fly up and model for you :-)
