Somehow I find male models more difficult. But on the other hand, who can say no to this guy? ;-)

I wanted some good clean torso shots and a bit of a Hugo Boss, Calvin Klein feel to it.

I think the middle-left one is the best, or the bottom one. Nice lighting although maybe boosting the midtone contrast in this would help?

Great work though man, you've captured the curves and shadows in the muscles well. You should be proud.

Was this a single light source?

As much as I enjoyed looking at a very nice bod I actually like the one where he's got a short on and arms crossed ;) Thanks for the lovely interlude ;)

this one is my favorite. I like the crop, the lighting, and the facial expression.

thnx :-)

single light indeed,(softbox) I tried to get highlights in both eyes but then the shadows weren't strong enough on the body. seeing as there was just the two of us, I didn't have anybody to hold a reflecting shield.

but I like the darkness around the eyes. it adds mystery and a little cheeckiness with his smile.

I like #2 ... because you can see his face AND his great abs. Wonderful lighting, by the way. This kind of lighting is superb for showing off his physique.

I think I like the 2nd one the best...although, I'd like the see a little more of his hands. The last one, the pose seems completely unnatural...like it hurts. His head turn is obscure. Nice tones on all of them and excellent lighting.

These are really nice. Great lighting, great detail. The ones w/o the "sweat" look better imo but I guess it's what you are going for.

I'm going to go buy a Playboy now.

Middle right is my favorite. Its definately got that 'calvin klein' feel to it. Great job!

these are really great, and i do get a hugo boss feel from them.

i ended up buying a reflector holder and it was a really great investment. you can put it on a light stand and move it wherever you need it -- no assistant necessary! :)
