What amazes me is I take a photograph and think’ goodness this is great’ only to watch it plummet in the scoring and realize,’ what was I thinking.’
I haven’t got a 3 yet. But I enter a lot of Challenges, 38 since 31st of august 03.
Hit them with quantity not quality.
I'm a self abuser I guess.:)

1 record broken how many more?
02/18/2004 06:46:06 AM · #59
Hour-and-a-half in, 27 votes and comments.

Interesting note: though I haven't seen what I'd regard as a 'good' photo yet, I've seen a couple of competent ones. On more than half of those 27 shots, i've changed my score in the course of writing the comment. Not always upwards, however :-)

Yea, you commented on mine. I have to admit, you do make good constructive comments and view alternate the possibilities. I appreciate it too.

Congrats to everyone who commented on the "Textures II" challenge to set a new site record for the most comments given in a challenge. The 6,929 comments blows away the old record of 6,177 in the "Free Study" challenge.

The number of votes was also a record at 116,042. (This beats the old record of 87,838 set in the "In The Garden" challenge.) Obviously this challenge also set the record for the most number of entries.

3 broken records is not bad at all ;)

Glad to hear it was "broken." I didn't get to vote on all of them, but i did comment on a bunch. Kinda got me back into the habit of commenting.

i find it interesting that the average # of comments wasn't significantly higher than in the past.

Darn I reviewed the comments I made on others pictures and also at how similar my comment was with other comments on the same picture, and realized I am learning something!!!

That being said I will try to apply my comments I have made and suggestions by others on my pictures for future challenges and photos!

Even with a camera like mine, a picture taken well should get a blue ribbon!!
