New Years Resolution 2008!!!(Starting early)

Hello All!!(have not been on for a while missed you all )

Man it has been a crazy year!!! My son is almost 1yr old (Jan. 10th ) and I have been taking lots of pics of him. I have had 2 or 3 weddings this yearâ�¦ some family portraitsâ�¦and some senior sittingsâ�¦. Not to badâ�¦

Iâ��m looking into taking some on-line classes for photography. (Since starting the New Year I will be working the Night shift 11pm-7am) Which is a good thing on my part work is slow and It will free up a lot of time at work.

So I wanted to start a thread about New Yearâ��s resolution for the New Year!
I have seen that I only submitted to 3 challenges this year!!! 3!

So for 2008â�¦
-I want to submit to at least 15 challenges

-Try to expand my knowledge on photography

-Work on my web page for advertisement ( really I think My Space is really unprofessional for advertisement )

-To take more pictures

-Learn more about the D200

-Try to cut back on my Video Games (lol im a kid at heart cutting this one will be hard... but if i do i thinki will take more pictures)

well this is it for now.

My new years resolution is to get a 6.5+ on DPC, heh kinda lame.

- Get a job this summer :p

- Work on landscape photography

- Travel to a new country just to take pictures

- Grow taller!! (number one on my list)

Dude, you really should put "Improving Commitment" or at least marriage counseling on your list of resolutions! :P

Haven't thought about resolutions yet, but in regards to DPC, my resolutions are much like the smoking ones - trying to quit, etc. :/

In order of importance:

1:) Spend more time with my family and less time on DPC
2:) Buy that damn 10-22 Canon Lens
3:) Enter more challenges
4:) Find my groove in photography once again(I think I have lost it)
5:) Get a doctor to fix my damn shoulder(it hurts everyday now)
6:) Order prints of my shit

Oh no you don't... Xmas first then new year.... I can only deal with one at a time and in the right sequence :-) I already feel like this and I am a week away yet...

I wannta know what happened to the 3rd quarter... One minute it was summer and now we are looking at another year :shock:

1) Move out into my own apartment!
2) Pass all of my classes
3) Get my photography groove back as well
4) Make new friends
5) Get an SLR
6) Lose my last 18 lbs (of course)
7) Get a boyfriend
8) Visit my godson more
9) Enter more challenges
10) Be better in generally everything :)

ahh HA HA this is sooo true.... my boy is all most 1 and i am like " He was just Born Yesterday!" yes this has been the fastest year that i know of for me....

First thing on my list is to lose this 15lbs that Ive gained since taking my bizz full time.sitting at this putter editing is not a good thing for da booty!

take and pass Scuba classes (see next one on why Im taking this)
get my degree in "Underwater Photography" so I can get into underwater portraiture like Zena Holloway

continue to increase the traffic to my portrait bizz

and of course the usual DPC addict stuff like this:
Get a new personal best higher than 6.4975
get an entry to finish in the top 25
get an entry to finish in the top 10
get a ribbon
avoid the brown one!
get 100 favorited photos
get 50 favorites as a photog.
keep comments made above comments recieved
continue to be inspired by the photographers here
Learn something new EVERYDAY about photography (this includes editing)

My new year is going to kick some serious butt! LOL
1. Moving to a new place
2. Joining a gym
3. Doing a whole bunch of promotional stuff
4. New website, new cards, new logo
5. Buy a black mini and have my logo on the side
6. Be debt free

Sounds like a very exciting plan to me :)
