Last year I wanted to start a portrait-a-week challenge for myself. Because of lazyness, this didn't really work.

But:

Since I'm working with models and for assignments more often now, I want to do this for 2008. Every week one portrait. No other rules.

I would, but I have already promised myself I would do the SP a month thing and in Feb, an SP a day (plus the great '08 motivational debate) LOL It's a good idea though and I hope you make it through the year!! I'll be interested to see what comes out of you :)

I was excited about the SP-challenge, but one photo each day is not gonna work for me... so I decided to give this PAW-challenge a try.

No problems though that you won't participate, have fun with the other challenges!!

I did a macro picture-a-week this year and am considering a portrait one for 2008. I don't know if I will have time though. Taking a macro every week is easier under time constraints because you can just dump something on your desk and take a photo of it, for portraits I will need to get hold of a person to photograph.

Cool! Since Larus won't be shooting PAW for 08' I wouldn't have had a PAW gallery to look forward to each week. Hanneke, very much looking forward to your shots.

I would love to join you. I had been thinking of doing this as well. That is 52 portraits....yikes. I think I can manage that. However, it may be the same model for some of the portraits. I look forward to this challenge with you. Thanks.

Ya know, its funny, you said you wanted to do a portrait-a-week thing, but ended up being too lazy.

It reminds me, that I wanted to do a image-of-the-week on one of my websites. More often then not for 3 years I missed the image, or had to go back through images to pick one and post it late or whatever. It was extremely difficult to keep yup with.

Then, I challenged myself, and 366 days later I had 366 self portraits.

Not sure what it means... but umm yeah.

If I do decide to do this I might impose two rules upon myself to make it even more challenging, a different person each week and to get a signed model release from each subject.

ok..im in. I saw this thread last week and meant to say i was on board..brain fart i guess. Ill do my best to get a portrait a week with different models (and I always get a signed release...CYOA i say)..Im off to tie up my model...............
