Hello all, I was wondering if I can get some honest opinions on a new technique that I am experimenting with. Thanks

Overall I like the effects. I think it does especially good on dsc_0014_painting_std.jpg, and on dsc_2635_painting_std.jpg it almost has a zoom blur look to it.
dsc_9319_painting_painting_std.jpg is almost there, looks slightly weird and plasticky to me though. Maybe a smaller stroke size in the filter you used would help.
I'm not keen on the effect in the shot of the young redheaded woman. Looks more like random white flecks rather than a creative effect. |

i think the effect works really well on dsc_0014, dsc_3521, and dog2. Some of the others look a bit more like applying a standard PS filter over an otherwise good photo. and ditto the redheaded woman.
keep trying.. the ones it works on I really do like. |
