If anyone is interested I am selling my 28-80 f2.8-4 L with hood and filter for £550.

I will bring just a couple of lenses unless anyone is interested in the 28-80 I may leave it at home.
Reason for selling?.. I want to get the 24-105 as a walk around lens

I can't be expected to remember all those names (can I?) And ladies, as a warning choose where you pin your name tags carefully as I'll be looking at them ;)

As for gear, mine will be in a plastic bag until I meet T and carry her bag for her so will travel light ;)

We also have the Sports Relief Mile being run in the PM.

I will be bringing 17-85mm and Sigma 70-300mm, spare batteries and spare CF cards, oh yes, and motherlee:))

Just to let you know, if the crowds do become too much I might have to be wheeled away to meet up with you all later on. But hopefully there'll be no need for that :o)

If only I could afford it right now... Struggling a bit with rent, let alone new glass though. Though if it's still around in about 3 months time, drop me a PM :)

purpleflutterby13: Guess I'll see you at the station at stupid-o-clock, I suspect we'll be the only fools around at that time so shouldn't be hard to find :)

Yup, see you at stupid-o-clock. Might take out my camera if we're really struggling with recognition, but somehow I can't imagine it being an issue.

Good idea, although last time I took my camera out at the station I got to have a nice chat with the police. I suppose I can look scary in the dark :)

That's really kind of you but don't - it's just extra weight to carry around. I can imagine what the wider/non crop lengths are like but I'm really interested in IS and just what kind of shots I can get in really crappy light.

lol at stoopid o'clock however, I'll be picking up Bruce_the_Robert just after 6:30am and passing Cambridge about an hour later. Just 2 seats otherwise I'd offer the pair of you a lift.

Not sure I understand all of this lens panic stuff. I am bringing all four of mine with me - and that is not saying a lot :-)

Don't look to be too many Nikons again... Is it time for me to cross over to the Dark side, oh-big-gray-one?

Looking forward to meeting folk on Sunday as it has been a long time since I have had a day for me and the camera.

I was joking - I think! Chuckle - the D300 is a draw as well as the D3 - if I had infinite cash of course :-) But the cost of upgrading the glass to meet the needs of the D3 will probably mean that the D3 remains a long term goal rather than a short term aspiration.

ANy friend of MAK's is a fri.... errrr, enemy of the state..

I am more intrigued as to why MAK is hanging around with 16 year old young men again.. I thought the courts had put an injunction in place against that sort of thing ;)

What is everyone going to do to deal with the rain (in relation to their equipment, not in relation to themselves; that part I can handle -- my normal way of dealing with rain is not to go out in it, but we're promised quite a bit through the middle of tomorrow).

Quickly implemented suggestions appreciated.

Weather proof camera and lenses.. ;P

Or plastic bags... If we are at Trafalger Square when it hits we can always slip into the National Portrait Gallery, its free of charge and dry.

I'll be bringing my camera bag, but in terms of quick and easy I normally also carry a normal plastic ASDA shopping bag in my pocket. It scrunches away to nothing but can be pulled over camera and lens in a moment if it starts to rain :- )

Keep your dirty little mind out of the gutter Simms, we do not wish to know about your secret perversions. I may hang around with 16 year old men but you prefer them just before their teens if I remember right...

Seriously, Sam is taking a photography course at school and wants to learn from us "Pro's" so I have told him to keep away from YOU on more than 1 level..

I hope the sight of a Fuji s602z don't get you all weepy mate.. I'm very happy to see someone using it again.
