| apparently they use this stuff as repairs for the things that get sent back for damages... i'm not sure how truthful that is because why would they hammer the crap out of it just to reuse it? |

Correct me if I am wrong but...
Since they were damaged during shipping like a scratch or what ever... Then the need to render them useless buy smashing them up? So, no one pulls them back out of a dumpster and tries to sell them?

Why not sell the stuff off, or give it at next to nothing prices to colleges/schools etc.. surely if Canon could donate that stuff to people who dont care about a few blemishes etc, then surely they can capture the younger market and thus get a few more canon users `on-board` before they leave school, product/brand loyalty like that is priceless.
Obviously there must be some semblance of logic as to why they are doing this, but I can't for the life of me see what it is.. |
