Thanks for the info, I have a set of modular shelving made of tubes, I was just going to throw it out,this has give me the idea to use it instead,

Very cool! Have any of you seen this doc?

It has an absolutely crazy number of photography related lighting and stand projects using PVC piping like tinker toys. The instructions are very detailed, and it's really a neat read, even if I end up making none of these.
