I'm in a huge dilemma here. My mom and my brother are asking me if I wanna see Cambodia, Angkor Wat for a few days. They say we should spend the majority of our trip in Australia and New Zealand because 12-13 days doesn't do justice for seeing these two countries. But, I would love to experience Angkor Wat. |

That's a toughy. I, too, would love to visit Cambodia. On the other hand, we had 6 WEEKS for our Australia/NZ trip and THAT wasn't nearly enough.
I think you're going to have to decide whether this trip will be a sampler of places you may want to return to for deeper exploration or whether you'd like to go as indepth as time will allow in one or two places :)
Another consideration is the travel time. The more destinations you add the more time spent getting to and from airports, waiting in airports, dealing with customs and immigration in airports, stressing in airports, waiting some more in.... well, I'm sure you get the idea. Even a flight of only a couple hours pretty much shoots a whole day! |

Hi, cujee
I live in Rotorua, and would be happy to show you and your family around. My email is petranoid [at] xtra.co.nz , so feel free to email me should you choose this area.
However, as you are 17, you should maybe try to talk your family into the Queenstown area. It's younger, with a funkier and more energetic vibe. :)
Where ever you go, though, you will have no trouble finding great photo opportunities. |
