Hey, so I'm about to leave for a one month backpacking trip in Europe and China and realized that I might want to get me a telephoto lens to add to my small camera kit. I was thinking of getting either the Canon 55-250mm or the Tamron 70-300 lens. Both are pretty inexpensive lenses (which is what I can afford, I also dont want to go too expensive since I'll be staying in hostels).
I was wondering, since I'm going to China, should I wait till I get there to see if I can get it cheaper? Or should I just bite the bullet and buy it here? |

I went to China a little over a year ago and found the lenses more expensive than in the States, at least for Nikon. |
