I am looking for the best place online to get my digital prints developed. I want professional quality, and I want them to offer matte finish, can anyone suggest an awesome place? I have tried several places but the quality was not much better than walmart and I am having a hard time finding good quality with a matte finish. Anyone? Please? TIA

I've never used a professional studio, but the best everyday printing I've found is Costco. Their big advantage for me is that you can download the colour profile (matte or glossy) for each of their individual stores. When you match that with a calibrated monitor then you're getting what you see. My customers love the results, which is probably the best recommendation.

I mainly print 2 different pictures online. The 4x6 prints that go into our family photo album. For these, I use Kodak Gallery to print. It's basically from their standard printer (Frontier?) that all big places use. You can choose matte finish (which I always use).

Then there the 8x10 and bigger prints I make for our walls. With these, I use Mpix. This place was a professional printer that went online.

For professional prints, I use A & I. They're down the street from me in Santa Monica (where I work) and they're really great, but expensive.

Good luck.

If your looking for a good lab, then try Richmond Camera (www.rcprolab.com) I use them with my photoreflect site and I am extremely happy with both the quality of the product and their customer service.
