Owww. Come on, stop already. I know it "kinda sucks", but if it drops even just a little more, it will be my own all time worst. And THAT one REALLY sucked! It ain't THAT bad...or is it???

No, it doesn't. The picture still sucks. What is the purpose of hiding? If we don't mind making a derogatory comment, we shouldn't mind being known as the commenter, seems to me. But it ain't no big thing, if that's what some want to do. I just don't see a reason. If you have a reason, please tell.

I've gotten two pleasant comments from hidden during voting people, its just their personal choice just be glad they took the time to comment on your picture. |

Personally, I don't "hide". :-) The issue is that some commenters have tired of getting instant PM's about the comments left. Sometimes it's better to know who the commenter is after a few days, rather than immediately (for some people anyway). Think about the response you might be tempted to give to the commenter now, versus after the challenge is finished. :-P

What is the general feeling about voting for challenges in which one is entered? I saw thread about it that began by suggesting it not be allowed. I am not sure I saw any sort of conclusion.

If you feel like you can be fair, go ahead and vote. If you're gonna change how you would normally vote because you're in the competition, don't vote.
I personally vote on the competitions that I'm in because others are taking time to view, vote and comment on my photo, I feel like returning the favor. |
