Just thought I would pop in and introduce myself, I am new to DSLR, but been snapping away with my trusty Samsung digital compact for years. I joined hoping to learn a little more about DSLR. I design and make jewellery, which I think fired the photography bug away from family snapshots into the world of framing,lighting etc...the natural progression then was more expensive equipment!!! and a broadening perspective on what makes a good pic. Anyway enough of my inane waffling, good to meet you all,

Sheesh, when I joined all I got was one of Slippy's dirty socks! :(

Just watch out for that Art guy and for  Strikeslip, aka Slippy... they'll do their best to lead you astray ;) |

Man, fruit and chocolate. You two really scored. All I got was my Tamron 17-50 lens. But it did come with a desiccant packet.
Welcome, Mandy! DPC is full of learning opportunities. Be sure to check the tutorials (under the "learn" menu in the upper right corner). :)
