thank you, faery Caroline! Let me just say that your shot
was MY favorite. Not that it is under-appreciated by the masses :)

I thought that this shot should have scored a lot higher. I loved the crisp clean feel of the water drops with the leaf that had the tantalizing red line through it whilst it was sitting on dark softness. Drew my eye immediately, gorgeous shot. |

Cheers chromeydome! That shot had the most spread out votes of mine... some really liked it some really hated and some thought it was ok.

Thank you! I thought it was a wonderful, lucky catch and was disappointed that it was voted so low, presumably because it wasn't completely oversaturated with the challenge description. Mid 5's and I might have been inspired to improve. Mid 4's and I realize that the voters aren't even on the same planet. |

I think that's a good thing in many ways. If this statement was serious, then I think we can arrange for someone to give you lessons in how to do cliche shots. |

My picks from "red" for injecting some welcome humor into the challenge:
for Efgo
for choltmeier
for krnodil
Note: This time I gave #1 the red shoehorn, since it was the red challenge.

Well, it got a 7 from me--a wonderful, beautiful and subtle image, sir--so beautifully subtle it was destined to score low. A badge of honor in this case, if you ask me.....

I am honored and humbled, chromeydome. Come to think of it, most of my photos are pretty humbling.
