Lightening, I think, Kim... although I had 'protection'. *heavy sigh*
I left to go pick up the kiddies from school... storm hit... It was off when I got back, but, restarted when I tried... then, it locked up and.. .nothing.
Life is still pretty good, though. *smile*

glad to hear your happy outlook. Ok so it sounds like a power hit might have damaged something. so start up and what happens? bsod or just hangs?
ETA: also was anything else turned off in the house or surrounding area(eg lights in the room)?

BSOD... even in "safe" mode. *sigh*

I have great advice for you, buy a Mac! (Spinning beach balls are much better than a BSOD!

'Bout the computer. My Beloved got me a Mac for Christmas last year... He and my son worked non-stop for DAYS getting it all set up with the software I had on my Windows computer and all of my photos, etc.
The thing died after I was just getting used to the whole setup. He got me a replacement and set IT up... same thing. He bundled it all back up and returned it. Lost a 'bundle' on the software that he'd had to buy the Mac version of... Not a good experience. *sigh*

| Buy another Mac!!! That's an interesting experience you had, we've never had a problem with the exception of the occasional spinning beach ball from hell. |

My Beloved will probably come home with something for me today. He's like that. *grin*

He's a bit of a computer guy, so if he couldn't get the Mac to work for me, I don't think anyone could.

This is the small version. I'll play around with font color. At this size it is impossible for me to create names that can read easily.
BTW, my shallow DOF is bombing big time in the first 10 votes. Never a good sign, and here I thought it would pull a 5.65xx to move me on the Beat Your Average Tourney. Oh well, on to the next challenge!
