Hey Team, I was having a problem with my signature in my profile so I took it off and I can't seem to figure out how to get it back in there! Grrr...

Right click the banner in my signature and select properties. Highlight the complete filename, right click and copy.
Now go to your preferences in the signature area, click the image icon and paste the image file name in the popup text box and click ok. Save. That's all there is to it. I don't know where the extra blank lines come from.

You might have to use Ctrl-C to copy the file name if right click doesn't bring up a menu.

Doyle - oops - too late... I hate it when my typing takes too long, and I'm out of date
Also - a suggestion for using Flickr - - on my test image for Shallow Dof, I created both a thread and added the image to the group. Now I'm finding that I have to check both the thread and the image for comments and suggestions from you kind folks. My suggestion is that perhaps we should only put comments and suggestions for improvement on an image into the actual image itself, so everyone can see them when viewing the image. That way, we can leave the thread for a more general discussion that relates to the overall challenge instead of a single image. Items we could include in each challenge thread are: ideas for subjects to shoot that meet the challenge, who's able to enter each challenge and who cannot, etc. That way, we'll only have one thread per challenge, and the comments on each image will all stay with the individual images.
Make sense?

Yes. We could use the thread to link to the image in the first place unless there's some way to organize images by challenge. After 12 weeks it could get pretty cluttered.

Tuesday. I'll start a thread on flickr so we can post links to images we want feedback on or discuss ideas.

I'm away for the week, holed up in a little cottage on the lake. I get internet if I go out on the porch! I'll be leaving here Wed. to go to my parents house. Just wanted to let you all know I might not post much but I will get an entry in! The monitor isn't calibrated or anything, so pray for me! :P |

Hello everyone I'm sorry I haven't been more active as of late, although I have been lurking. Things have been hectic around here and all I've had time for is the odd small post and to check in and see if I've missed anything.
So, have I missed anything?? (arnt I a smart A$$)
Along with the riggers of getting back into the daily routine of school life for our children, my wife is a school teacher, and I own my own construction company (the construction is a small part of what I do) and as luck would have it I'm so busy I can hardly stand still. What makes matters worse for me is I have just lost both of my employees, one to a medical condition that now has him applying for a disability pension by order of his Dr. and the other to multiple broken bones from a botched parachute landing. So now I work like a mad man trying to finish all the jobs that I took on for the three of us, all by myself.
Now the one thing I don't need is pity, for there is an upside to all this. We are also a family of professional actors and our youngest, Isaac has landed a lead roll in a new television series due out in September of 2009 and we will be traveling a lot for it and I was trying to figure out what I was going to do with my employees while I was away with Isaac filming. Sometimes things have a way of working themselves out. So it's not that I don't feel bad for my employees, I do and I continue to pay both of them even though what has happened to them is not work related in any way. I told them I would pay them until their pension/benefits kick in and I visit them everyday. (there both in the same hospital across the hall from each other)
Now all I have to do is get all the jobs finished by the first of October so that when we start filming I'm not worried about my customers not being looked after.
Now there is still more good news with relation to the television series, I have been asked to do the still photography for the series and right now Isaac has a contract for two years and an option for three more, so I should be busy because I will have to be there even when Isaac isn't due on set. I can't wait.
Now that being said I will still have time (right now) to hold up my end with this side challenge because the shoot schedule is set for mostly weekends right now, but things could change but I should still have time for this because I'm not taking on any more construction until we go on hiatus from the show.
There is still more things going on then this but I have to go and meet up with a client and must go.
So lets kick some but during this one, we can do it.
Remember Polar bears eat anything they can catch, so lets catch the other teams and eat them up.
GO POLAR BREAS GO!!!!!!!
MAX! |

Wonderful news Max.
If only Dex would come out of hibernation. Wait a minute. Polar bears don't hibernate.

Wow! And I thought I was busy working 80 hours running multiple businesses and raising a 2-year old!
Some great news though!
