Google is very useful :) but mainly from DPC as I'd not used photoshop before joining DPC .... have only touched the surface though and would like to do something like an intermediate type course to find out the cleverer things

I joined the digital brigade when Ps7 came out. I enrolled in an Adult Education class for about $10, bought the required workbook, and took it from there. The teacher didn't try to keep me with the kids who were plodding through and gave me lots of help. That teacher and I are still friends.

After I found out what the buttons do (some of them, anyhow) any extra education came from poking at them to see what would happen and sleeping with Photoshop books under my pillow.

Augmented, of course, by all the tutorials and problem-solving threads here at DPC.

I been using PS since it was first introduced, though in the beginning I used it as a graphic designer (along with CorelDraw) for preparing business cards, flyers, brochures and the like. I didn't start doing digital photography until, I think, 2001; I took a long hiatus from photography when I sold my business and my gear in the 90's.

Anyway, I'm entirely self-taught, if reading books counts as self-teaching, though I'm not sure it ought to :-)
