Pretec just announce their newest line of cards. The 64gb 233x (35mb/s) and their 100gb 233x cards. Here is Dpreviews report.

So pretty much you can only transfer a full card to your computer a few times before you fill up your internal hard drive.

Wonder when we see the 1tb cf cards?!?!?

This is somewhat interesting... but begs the question: It almost makes sense at this point to just integrate an SSD into the camera in some way. The read/write speeds of SSD's has gone around 5 times faster than this new card, and SSD's are going to be dropping in price (though, in comparison to that CF card, they are identical or in fact cheaper as is). This is also a more ideal application for a SSD than as a main HD for a computer, since you don't have to worry so much about read/write cycles, being that the disk isn't constantly being written to. Plus then you could directly interface the drive with your computer and transfer via a SATAII interface and bypass that huge bottleneck, so that you don't have to wait so long for the transfer.
Interesting nonetheless, thanks for the link.

CF that large sounds more sensible for video use than photography, even with larger mp cameras.

Gee... like Canon's new DSLR that takes high-def video?

Sure, or any number of hd flash camcorders that have been out for a year.

Well the HD Camcorders that do use a memory card use a SD/MS Pro Duo card. BTW Nikon has a few new cameras with video as well.
