Was going to head up to the fabric store tomorrow and grab some material in a few different colors. My question is what shall i get that wont show wrinkles or what is commonly used.

Make your own backdrops!

wrinkles are inevitable. a cheap hand held steamer can take care of wrinkles fairly quickly.

what you don't want are seams. try not to fold your fabric if possible.
