To keep on topic with this forum thread: yes, I've considered ways to respond to the DPC BORDER DISORDER. My hope is to get more DPC entries to maximize their borders to reveal to DPC voters the absurdity of the growing movement among some DPC entries, including recent ribbon winners: thick, black top/bottom borders squeezing the photo in border vicegrips. The only way to combat such folly is to join and expand upon this border badness. Let's all double our borders. When considering your borders? Maximize! Thicken! Exaggerate! Time for borders, like post-processing, to take over. Enough fooling around with mere photography! We want bigger borders! Calling all border runners: make those borders shout for joy! Bring on the BIG BORDERS!

I say as long as it is clearly a border anything should go. with the exception of text of course.

borders usually adds +1 to the vote originally intended by the voter - dang i've forgotten to use them for the last few entries! :p

Watch out though for the new movement of 20 foot high borders with barbed wire, tazer guns and trained DPC border guards...

btw, I like the border. The shoehorn needs polishing. 6.
