Can someone please tell me where would be a good place to go for canoeing/kayaking

We are staying in Estero Beach for couple of days.

When you going down? I got a friend lives around there, I will see her on 2nd... She's a kayaker, I can ask her.

I'm here already. I was resaerching a little about Lover's Key or Tarpon Bay on Sanibel Island.

we recently stayed at Sanibel and did the short Ding Darling kayak trip (//www.tarponbayexplorers.com/kayak.html).
It was really nice albeit not very challenging and a bit disappointing as far as how varied the wildlife was.
There were plenty of birds and lots of photo ops.

I'm not a kayaker, but there is the Manatee Park on SR 80 that offers kayak rentals and a river trail around the power plant. The heat draws manatees to shallow water in the winter months. Other locations found here and here. Hope this helped.
